WELL DONE LADIES!!

Well our event was a total success.! We would like to thank everyone that took part today and to everyone who helped raise money by having a stall. We would also like to thank all of our helpers who ensured that everything ran smoothly.

A big thank you to Eduard Villa for joining us to hand out the medals and a BIG thank you to Harvey's bar for the cava that they supplied.

We would also like to thank Sabina Plaja from the Centre Serveis in Estartit for her help in organising the event. All of the shops and business in Estartit and Torroella de Montgri that donated prizes for the tombola also deserve a big thank you. A thank you also goes out to AECC representatives who helped us and supplied us with bracelets and balloons etc.

...We would mainly like to thank all 77 participants as without you all today would not have happened!

We hope that as well as enjoying the day that the walk gave you all time to think of the loved ones that you have lost to cancer - I know it certainly did for us. Also well done to the cancer survivors that took part today and for those of you walking in support or honour of someone battling this disease.

Remember that you have until 21st October to finish collecting your sponsor money. Once you have it collected then you can either hand it in to "Kings Property management" office in Estartit or you can pay it direct into the bank account (remember to put you name as a reference). The justgiving.com/walkforlifecostabrava page is available ti use until 21st December 2008.

The stalls that we had going on today did a fantastic job in raising funds:

Cake stall - 158€
Pie stall - 141€
Usborne books 22.20€
toys - 20€
face painting - 12€
A grand total of 517.20 euros - WELL DONE EVERYONE!!

We will keep everyone posted on the fund raising totals for the whole event.

We plan on making Walk for life Costa Brava an annual event. We are delighted with the response from this, our first year, and we already have ideas and support for 2009!
