We are happy to say that the walk for life costa brava 2009 was a great success. The sun was shining and the number of participants was fantastic. A total of 103 of us walked which is far more than we ever expected when we first had the idea.
More importantly a lot of loved ones were remembered on what was a great day.
The Balloons to Heaven were also a great success and a fitting end to a great morning.
A big thanks to all that had stalls which raised in excess of 500 euros.
The sponsor money is coming in now and we still have 4 more weeks in which to collect everything.
Our chosen charity this year Fundació Onocolliga Girona were also great organising the back packs, water and apples and bringing with them lots of their own supporters.
A big thanks to Sabina Platja, Eduard Vila and all at the Centre Serveis and Tourist information centre for all their help.
A big, big thank you to everyone who took part in or supported us on the day and made a small idea become a big reality.
